Split System Installs
The right size unit, installed properly.
A split system is the simplest way to cool and heat a single room or open-plan area. We measure the space, recommend the right capacity, and install the indoor and outdoor units, pipework, drainage and dedicated electrical circuit in one visit. Because we're electricians as well, there's no waiting on a second trade to power it up.
What's included
- Site check and room sizing, so the unit isn't too big or too small
- Supply of a quality reverse-cycle unit, or install of one you've already bought
- Indoor head, outdoor unit, brackets or ground pad
- Copper pipework, insulation, cable and condensate drain
- Dedicated circuit and outdoor isolator, installed by a licensed electrician
- Pressure test, vacuum and commissioning, then a walkthrough of the remote and settings
- Removal of your old unit, with refrigerant recovered, if you're replacing one

Common questions
What size split system do I need?
It depends on the room size, ceiling height, insulation and which way the room faces. As a rough guide, a bedroom often needs about 2.5 kW and a large living area 7 kW or more. We confirm the right size on site before you buy.
Can you install a unit I've already bought?
Yes. We can install a unit you've purchased, as long as it's new and comes with all its parts. We'll check that the size suits the room first.
How long does an install take?
A standard back-to-back install is usually done in about half a day. Longer pipe runs, double-storey walls or switchboard work can add time, and we'll tell you up front.
Do I need a switchboard upgrade?
Not always. We check your switchboard as part of the quote. Some older boards need an upgrade or an extra circuit breaker to handle the new load safely.
